Napier Museum , a landmark in Trivandrum city with its unique ornamentation and architectural style with gothic roof and minarets is at walkable distance from Hotel Oasis. Established in 1875 , The museum houses a rare collection of archaeological and historic artifacts, bronze idols, ancient ornaments, a temple chariot and ivory carvings. It also contains the Sri Chitra Art Gallery, which contains works from Raja Ravi Varma and Nicholas Roerich, as well as examples of Mughal and Tanjore art. The Neyyar Dam located about 28 km from Hotel Oasis, is a popular picnic spot with a lake and a picturesque dam site. The lake formed by the dam across the Neyyar River is the bluest of blue, making boating irresistible for tourists. The Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary of which the dam is a part is the habitat of over a hundred species of fauna including Asian Elephant, Tiger, Leopard, Slender Loris and reptiles like King Cobra, Travancore Tortoise, etc. A crocodile breeding centre and a lion safari park are also located in the dam site.
About 45 kms from Hotel Oasis and enroute to Ponmudi is Kallar river, a popular destination for trekkers and picnickers. At Kallar, the main attractions are the nearby Golden Valley, and the Meenmutti waterfall. Here one can take a dip in the crystal clear waters to cool off, and also watch the many rapids and small pools that dot a good part of the river in this area.

Get a breath taking view of the thick tropical forest which is naturally beautiful all year through. Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple is a blend of the Kerala and Dravidian styles of architecture. Dress code (Can be rented too) should be followed by visitors.
